1995 Sunfire coolant is leaking from area located under steering column have already replaced thermostat and coolant in reservoir tank is full also noticed coolant smell in interior of car when heaton?

If you are getting coolant inside the car your Heater core is leaking but if only smelling coolent. The hose on the exterior maybe the issue and it maybe that the sound blanket in that area where the ends of the heater core pass thru the firewall is asborbing coolent hence the smell. This should give you a starting point hope it helps.

AnswerOn 1998, 4.6 32 valve engines, the thermostat is located in the radiator to block hose. if you look directly under the power steering reservoir you should see it.The thermostat has 3 hoses running from it. 2 are approx. 1.5" in dia. and one is approx .750" in dia. The .750" hose leads up to the coolant reservoir. and yes it is under the power steering reservoir. Access to the thermostat is from the bottom side. You will need an 8mm socket to remove the two bolts. Removal of the bottom radiator hose is mandatory.
