1996 Continental drivers side power window stops on it's way up or down If you wait a couple minutes it will go up or down a little at a time I have replaced the motor and the regulator Help?

In my '96, the window will always go up and down if you hold the button, it is the one touch automatic operation that stops mid-way. The driver's side window in this model seems to bind in the rear side channel as it goes up and down. At the Lincoln dealership, they restored normal operation by spraying a silicone lubricant into the rear side channel in which the window travels. This is a temporary fix and you will have to repeat periodically (once or twice a year). Get yourself a can of silicone spray lubricant and keep it handy.

Not off track. You will need a new regulator unit. Usually around $150 on eBay. I've replaced quite a few and it's not all that hard. Simply remove the door panel, Remove the bolt that holds the window to the regulator. Then remove 3 screws that hold the motor/regulator assembly in place. It will fit out of the largest hold in the door. Usually takes about 30 minutes or so.

Canister output pressure is regulated. Until canister pressure falls to below the regulator output pressure, it drops unnoticed. Once canister pressure falls below regulator pressure, the regulator cannot output the required pressure.
