Is it just the cluster or the whole dash lights are out?
If whole dash check the fuse or as I have had similar problem light this was the headlight switch and replaced it.
The instrument cluster can be replaced. The connectors on the back of the instrument clusters are the same for all versions of that generation of the Ford Focus. There are however problems when doing this: -The odometer will show the miles from the old cluster. The milage is built in to the cluster, not the car. -Some panel lights (like the ABS light) may light up depending on your vehicle's options. It is sometimes possible (although usually relatively expensive) to have the cluster reprogrammed at a Ford dealership to correct these problems.
Did you replace it with the correct cluster ? the later ones are not compatible. You can replace the circuit board with a new one
Length of cable does not matter, as long as the connection to both instrument cluster and transmission are correct.
you can, but you need to be fairly good at soldering as they are soldered on the board. Find the correct size bulbs will be a challenge also. Buick had a better idea. No wonder thy went broke
The correct way to pronounce "instrument" is IN-struh-muhnt.
It confuses idiots who can't write a correct question!
The correct spelling for the instrument is "percussion."
The correct spelling is "galaxy" (a large collection or cluster of stars).
That's correct.
