Hi, your headlight relay is in the fuse box in the engine compartment near the battery. It is a small black box approx 3"x8". There are several relays in this box, and they are all identified on the inside cover of the box. Just from memory, I believe it's the far left relay.
Wrong I got a 1996 all relays in that box are clearly marked one is not their for the headlights , nor is it under the dash , near the fuse box. or in the relay box above the gas pedal. I called a Jeep dealer parts told me their is one they couldn't find the location and had me talk to talk to a mechanic They couldn't tell me where it was either none of their manuals show the location. Best solution I got was rewire head lights fused to toggle switches on the Dash one for high beam and one for low beam. seems this relay proplem is very common between 1992-1999

I believe the 4cyl. has no relay. With the larger engines it should be located under the hood just behind passenger side headlight.
