try to tighten all the bolts on the strut mounts and double check
CHECK THE EXHAUST.MINE WAS HITTING THE BODY AT BOTTOM OF REAR FENDER
Answer Ball joints which are located behind the front wheels. Do not ignore it. Your wheel can actually break off while driving. Have it looked at ASAP.

If there is a clunking sound when turning a vehicle, the problem might be the ball joints in the front end. The ball joints help to support the A-Frame which helps to keep the wheel on and upright.
replace c/v joints
Defective CV joint or bad wheel bearing.
You probably need your bearings repacked
Could be many things, ball joints usually make clunking noises (usually one when turning and one when turning the wheel from turning), cv joints usually make a clicking noise and vibrate under load. Have it checked out, les schwab will do it for free (check it).
When turning the wheel, a clunk means a tie rod or ball joint is worn out.
