Did you replace the thermostat, and check the water pump? Does the cooling fan operate as it should? A plugged catalytic converter can cause overheating. If above items check out OK you need to check for leaking head gasket.
Yes, if the radiator fan is not working, it can cause overheating of the engine. The radiator fan helps to cool down the engine by pulling air through the radiator to remove heat. Without the fan, the engine may not receive adequate cooling, leading to overheating.
Waterpump, thermostat, radiator, radiator hoses.
yes it can
If the electric fans do not turn on by the radiator ...if the thermostat is stuck closed...low coolant level...bad head gasket...clogged radiator...clogged exhaust pipe or catalitic converter..... All can cause overheating.
Cooling system leak or engine overheating and steam escaping from the radiator cap.Cooling system leak or engine overheating and steam escaping from the radiator cap.
sounds like you have a cracked head or cracked block.however, i would check to make sure it is not transmission oil and thereby ruling out a radiator problem
get a new radiator.
Your truck is overheating because it needs a new radiator. I had the same problem, after I installed the new radiator and flushed out my remaining cooling system I never had a overheating problem since.
check carefully for thin cracks on the radiator tanks(side plastic covers on radiator)you probably have to remove the radiator to get a better look. Also replace theradiator hoses if their old. If the leak continues then it's most likely your heatercore.
Yes! Also a good flush will improve its performance. And may stop the overheating.
The Dodge intrepid will not start after overheating because it blocks the radiator cap.
Engine is overheating.
