check carefully for thin cracks on the radiator tanks(side plastic covers on radiator)
you probably have to remove the radiator to get a better look. Also replace the
radiator hoses if their old. If the leak continues then it's most likely your heatercore.
It is leaking and overheating because a part has failed.
Hose leaking Water pump leaking
ah.......radiator??
Either one of the heater hoses are leaking or you have a freeze plug on the side of the engine leaking.
yes, leaking coolant is what happens before the pump totally dies, then you have overheating and possible engine damage soon after the leaking.
These two cooling system conditions are more than likely related. The cooling system is closed and not supposed to leak. Sources of leaks include hoses, clamps, radiator and or the heater core.
The overflow tank is either cracked or its overheating and leaking from the cap
the freeze plugs on the side of the motor could be done.
Blown Head Gasket or Warped Head from Overheating
Defective water pump.
If by water you mean engine coolant, yes. Loss of coolant, antifreeze, is a major cause of overheating.
Most likely brake fluid. Check the master cylinder level.
