tAKE THE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT LOOSE AND SEE IF IT STILL DOES IT IF IT DOES ITS THE FRONT CARRIER ASSEMBLY IF IT DONT ITS THE TRANSFERCASE
the pistons inside your calipers are sticking
Remove the calipers and the disk will pull right off
2 where brive blazer time will fit the tear but the front will hit break calipers in front
usually either the calipers have dirt in them and need to be replaced or the rubber lines leading to them have collapsed inside and need to be replaced.. really kills the gas mileage uh!! chevy has had problems with rear discs on these vehicles,70%of braking is on the front,30% on the rear. therefore the pistons get little use and stick. there are stainless sliders the calipers move on,you need to clean and lubricate them, this should stop the brakes from dragging. I have a 1999 Blazer and my rear brakes were grinding so I replaced the pads and rotors but had the same sticking problem. They dont offer a rebuild kit for my calipers so I had to replace the calipers also.
Assuming this is a 4+4 vehicle, the caliper bolts on to the caliper bracket. The caliper bracket bolts on to the steering knuckle.
First you loosen lug nuts, then jack up your blazer then pull off your tires then the rotor should slip right off, but be sure your e-brake is not on or brakes engaged in anyway.
there could be more than one factor it sounds like the actuator is bad or if your blazer has partial vacumm control then you could have a vacumm leak
I have had the same problem on my 1996 Blazer. I talked to a bus driver about it and was given this little trick that might help. If it has something to do with brake adjustment, try backing up and slamming on the brakes 4-5 times- sometimes the brakes adjust themselves from us using them in only one direction so much.
Possible bad caliper will cause overheated brakes and excessive wear will make the pad sensers squeel Replace both calipers with new loaded calipers and the rotors too, or you will get a pulsation
Examining the braking system is the best place to start when diagnosing an ABS system for the 1995 2WD S10 Blazer. Examine the brake fluid reservoir to check its level. An almost depleted container is a sign of fluid leaks. Leaks can be identified at the calipers, master cylinder or modulator.
Raise it up on jack stands, disconnect the brake line, pinch off the brake line with a set of vice grips, unbolt the calipers. The rotor simply pulls out at this point.
check the following; contaminated brake fluid, warped drums, master cylinder, abs system(if equipt). have an experienced tech look at your truck.
