1997 jeep Cherokee 4.0 6cyl when you put it in any gear and try to accelerate it is sluggish and makes a low but noticeable roar type noise but after about 25 or 30 mph it goes away any idea thanks.?

sounds like either a spark problem or even a fuel filter replace the two. Replace the spark plugs check the wires and replace the fuel filter. $20 max if you do it your self
