how is the best way to remove water pump from 1997 mercury cougar 4.6 engine

On a 1997 Mercury Mountainer , 5.0 liter V8 engine : The water pump is bolted to the front of the engine , behind the engine cooling fan ( just follow the bottom radiator hose , it connects to the water pump )
I'm not a mechanic / technician but I believe on a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer , 4.0 liter , SOHC , V6 engine that the oil pressure sending unit is on the front of the engine in the area where the lower radiator hose connects to the water pump
