unplug the battery, this will reset the car with the alarm disabled
No you do not need a battery, but the lights and horn will not work unless you have a battery installed, dead or not.
Three beeps when starting a Passat 1.8T signals a problem with the car. A weak battery and a malfunctioning ABS are the two most common causes.
you have a loose or dirty battery cable battery is weak or cilenoide is going out.
you should be able to start your jimmy up right after you install your new battery...if it doesnt, I would replace or clean your battery cable terminals and see if that works!
Use battery load tester and properly test battery. When battery fails, replace it.
check your main fuses
well to tell you the truth depending on the year model i would have to say you have a theft provention system which is disabling the starter, so it wont turn over even if batter is installed, that or your starter was fried from improper battery voltage.
new battery installed . push starter and all I get Is a humming sound . wont turnover though
If you unplug the battery is for sure is not going to start. What are you asking?
Did what?
If the battery light comes on when you try to start your car, either your battery is low or your alternator is going bad. These can be checked by going to an Advance Auto or Auto Zone, they will test it for you for free.
