2000 Kia Sportage while driving up hill the vehicle lost power and came to a stop continued to idle but was unable to rev the engine i turned the car off and tried to restart it turned over not start?

It sounds like your fuel pump is shot. prime the system a few times and under the hood find the fuel presure release and unsrew the cap use a pen or something to push down the tab. it should spray fuel everywhere for a few seconds before it stops. if nothing hapens when you push it, you will need a new pump. MAKE SURE ENGINE IS NOT RUNNING AND IS COLD!!!!!

This just happened to my Oldsmobile bravada and it was my fuel pump.
