you might want to check and see if the mass air flow sensor is bad. try unplugging it and turning on the car. this has happened to me. TRY YOUR VALET KEY.... IT SHOULD WORK!!!!!This just cost me $100 to have both my black keys reset. your car will start and run for 3 sec. then the security system kicks in and cuts off your fuel. It happened the day after I hit a snowbank flush on the drivers side and knocked out my abs sensor. You can fix this yourself it was easy, just ask a dealership how to reset your keys. You need to disconnect your battery to clear your computer, then put the key in the ignition and turn it forward without cranking the car over. let it sit for ten to fifteen minutes. When the key is forward the security light will be on, after the light turns off you remove the key and repeat the on - off process a total of three times. this should reset your key. same thing happened to my 01 Grand Prix GT this morning. Otherwise you can look into having a shop install resistors in your car to mimic that the security system is operating properly. They will need to find the proper resistence for this to work. Z Resetting the keys will only work with older pass key systems. If your car has passkey3 system, you cannot relearn your keys. If you have PK3 engraved on your key, it is more than likely the car will have to go to a gm dealer.
