I have the same problem on my 2001 Silverado. I suspect a loose ground. When this occurrs can you rock truck back and forth and get it to go off. Benb449 More than likely the fuel level sending unit has gone bad, it is inside the tank and is a variable resistor connected to a float. Chevy and GMC trucks in to 99-2003 era have had a bad problem with this. The sending unit can be replaced apart from the pump but this is not a job for a beginner. My mechanic friend told me best to replace pump and sending unit at the same time. If you only replace sending unit, pump will usually fail soon after that creating extra expense.
Bring to a shop that has an ABS scanner to determine problem
problem with the abs, get it fixed
bad fuel pump, how many miles?
You didn't indicate whether this problem happens while the vehicle is not moving as well as moving. My guess would be moving, meaning looseness in the window switch which causes contacts to close (touch) activating the window motor due to the vibration and up down motion of the vehicle.
I had the same problem withj my 2003 Silverado - change the alternator..it worked for me.
Some posts seem to point to the battery as the cause of the problem. Get it checked as this is a low cost fix. Others seem to blame the speed sensor.
