It is not hard. I can't tell you which one is what number but I can tell you you have to remove the three screws on the plastic case (the plastic thing that you see as soon as you open the hood. There are three visable coils under that. They have one screw and a plug. That is it. It is dependent on the type of engine you have. For the 6 cylinder, there are two banks of cylinders. Cylinders 1-3 are on the rear of the engine, while cylinders 4-6 are at the front. Replacing a coil on cylinder 4-6 is simple - simply remove the plastic engine cover, which is held on with 3 small nuts. The coils are located down in front, and can be removed by removing a single bolt holding each coil on, and unplugging the coil from it's respective wire. If the coil you need to replace is on cylinders 1-3, the job is significantly more difficult. You need to remove the intake manifold to access these rear coils. Altogether, it is maybe a 3 to 3.5 hour job to replace the manifold and all of the spark plugs (it is a good idea to do this whenever you remove the manifold, since spark plugs are cheap and there's a lot of labor involved).
To install a new replacement pack on a Ford Escape you need to remove the screw from the plastic cover. Next, you will see the visible coils which can be removed and then replaced.
coil packs are the unit on top of every spark plug in ur engine........ty...........no autographs
