first check your fluid level of tranny,then look at fluid ,is it still pink, dark red or black, does it smell burnt. if fluid level checks good with engine running then check for a broken vacuum hose either to back of engine or a " T " conncetor from vacuum distribution box to somewhere else on engine.Check shift linkage , i have seen a couple come into my shop that were disconnected,rare but if you hit something in road ,which is what these 2 had done.hope this helps.
