2001 Isuzu Trooper and apparently have a hole in your transmission that has been there a while and is spraying the exhaust with fluid Is this repairable or do you need a new transmission?

IF THERE IS A HOLE IN THE TRANS AND IS SPRAYING. IT MOST LIKLEY A CRACK AND IS INTERNAL. UNFORANATLY THERE IS NO REPAIR I AM AWARE OF THIS WILL NEED A TRANSMISSION. THIS COULD ALSO BE TRANSMISSION LINE?
