the problem is the 2 relays ,main engine and fuel pump relays. they work together so if one arcs it shuts off the other. Always replace BOTH run about $16.50 ea at Kia dealer.
It sounds like its not getting fuel. Could be clogged fuel filter or bad fuel pump.
Did you check your starter?
check the water pump. I had the same problem.
express 3500 chevy van tries to start but doesnt. when cranking stopped the engine rumbles. getting fuel can smell it.
Replace the battery or the carbarreta
Try rotating the engine manually by turning crankshaft with socket and bar--if you can't rotate it may be seized (thrown rod etc.)
perhaps because the new starter is doing its job.... You think maybe it's supposed to start with the new starter in it?
Will not run until dealer over rides the anti-theft circuit in engine controller
when you're in gear, the engine tries to move the wheels and the brakes hold it still. this suppression from the brakes, combined with frictional losses through the drivetrain, lower the engine RPM's. When in park, the car's wheels aren't being driven therefore you don't need to press the brakes. tjhis lessens the load on the engine dramatically and therefore, engine RPM's rise
Your manual transmission does not have to have fluid in it in order to start the engine. Theoretically you can start the engine with the transmission out of the vehicle totally. That being said.... Its not a good idea to start the engine if there is no fluid in the transmission just in case someone tries to move the vehicle by putting it in gear. You do not want to drive the vehicle with no fluid in the trans.
You have a wire shorting out or one that is loose. You may also have the circuit overloaded if you have added any optional equipment.
Yes, if the time is off far enough the engine will not run. You can quickly and easily determine this by checking with a timing light.
