The front wheels have abs sensors if applicable. The sensors would be mounted to the spindles not the rotors.
Assuming that the vehicle is front wheel drive, you have four abs sensors, one behind each wheel.

It depends on if it ie front or rear wheel drive or 3 wheel drive. If it is 4 wheel drive, it is not good and will cause problems. If it is either front or rear wheel drive keep the wheels the same on the drive wheels ie. front wheel drive, keep the 17 or 16 inch wheels on the front but make sure they are the same.

abs sensor
There is one behind each front wheel, If you look in behind the front rotors you will see a electric wire that goes to the speed sensors. There is also 1 on the tail shaft of the transmission where the driveshaft goes into the transmission if it's a 2-wheel drive. If it's a 4-wheel drive then it will be screewed into the transfur case that's mounted onto the transmission.
Need to know if this is a 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive S10.
If it is 4 wheel drive the front speed sensors are mounted into the front hub/bearing assemblies behind the brake rotor. If it is 2 wheel drive the front speed sensors are mounted to the spindle behind the rotor. In any case, just follow the speed sensor wire harness and it will lead you to the sensor.
