For the 2002 Solara 4 cyl, 16 valve the oil filter is locate just in front (towards the front of the car) of the oil pan. There is an indentation in the oil pan of a slightly larger diameter than the oil filter. The previous answer is incorrect, the oilfilter is between the oil pan and the engine. A real pain to find. You'll need to jack up the car to get to the oil filter. no matter v6 or 4cyl. the oil filter is located under the exhaust manifold in the front of the engine near the radiator loosens by turning to the left.tightens the opposite

Hi girl, Yes, it's the same as the '04 and all generation II Solara models. It'll help if you can get the car in the air a little. Remove the splash shield under the front of the car. It's held on by several plastic and metal fasteners but all are Phillips type screwdriver heads. Once you've removed the plastic panel you can reach the foglight housings. Turn the socket to the left and pull it toward the rear of the car. Remove the bulb by pushing down and twisting to the left then pull out. Replacement is the opposite of removal. It's so easy....even a girl can do it ;)
