Might be the ignition switch. The electrical contacts where out in systems with the anti theft keys which can cause a no start situation.
Possibly the crank sensor or the coil pack is dead. But with a dead crank sensor you also get no spark, no crank. No crank equals no fuel delivery.
i am a land rover master tech, the first thing to do is make shure you have a good battery.test the fuel pressure and if there is no fuel pressure the fuel pump will take out the crank sensor leavig vehicle with no spark. so if you have good fuel pressure and no spark it sound like your crank sensor is bad.common problem. i hope i was able to help you.
Many other options. No fuel pressure, broken timing belt, computer malfunction, no spark,
Probably a crank sensor
crank sensor or cam sensor
The ignition module uses the crank sensor to decide when to spark.
Crank sensor.
It doesn't have a crankshaft sensor, it still uses the distributor. 1995 4.3 and earlier do not use a crank sensor. Spark is contolled by the distributor and the ECM. Check for spark when it doesn't start. If it has spark but won't start check for fuel pressure. My guess would be a faulty fuel pump, very common with GM trucks.
Check for trouble codes. Possible cam or crank sensor.
Have you checked for fuel and spark? Camshaft sensor and or crank sensor will cause that problem as well!
yes there is but i am unsure of where it sits on the engine. i am unable to get spark to my plugs and most people have told me the problem is the crank sensor.
A faulty crank sensor can do that.
