I'm not a mechanic but, I had to replace my radiator to fix the overheating problem on my 1994. That was the last thing I replaced after replacing the water pump, thermostat, and replaced my fan with a clutch fan. have not had anymore problems with it overheating once the radiator was replaced. Flush the coolant first then replace the radiator. Hope this helps.

What year and make of car? My 1997 Honda Accord's radiator fan kept running after it was shut down. Upon inspection of my system I had low coolant and no pressure. Replaced the radiator and have not had an issue since. Check and top off your coolant, if it continues then I have no clue as to the problem.

Where is it leaking? That pressure test sounds funny, why would you pressurize only the pump and radiator? If you are leaking coolant outside the engine, locate the source. If you are losing it from the radiator but cannot find a puddle suspect a head gasket problem. Check the Radiator cap first, if it is bad high pressure coolant will travel back to the overflow bottle.

i would have replaced water pump long before replacing radiator. also check engine oil to see if it has engine coolant mixed in.if it has then the problem is more likely to be a bad head gasket

Engine Coolant is probably coming out of a small hole on the bottom of your water pump. This usually means your seals are gone in the pump and that the pump should be replaced. This happened to my '93 Jeep Grand Cherokee on I-40 near Knoxville about 3 years ago. NEW ADDITION: I am having the same problem with my 94 grand Cherokee today, we replaced the water pump and the problem still persists, there may be a hole in the radiator like mine.. just replace the radiator.. that's what im doing
