Absolutely, it needs to be replaced immediately.
Thermostat housing
Remove the bottom radiator hose. Put a garden hose into the top of the radiator. Allow the garden hose to run until the water coming out of the bottom of the radiator is clear.
Sounds Like A Bad Thermostat. Or The Hose Is In To Much Of A Curved Situtation. Suggest Make Sure Coolant Is Full, And Hose Is Not Collasped. Then Remove & Replace Thermostat. Still Have Problem, May Be Water Pump. Good Lucl
radiator hose needs replacing. use and heat will cause hose to collapse when worn out
In the bottom of the Thermostat housing. Find where the top radiator hose goes into the block and look directly under that.
In most cases the lower radiator hose feeds the water pump. The upper radiator hose feeds the radiator.
lower radiator hose
You have a top radiator hose and a bottom radiator hose.
The hose that goes from the overflow to the bottom of the radiator on a 2002 Windstar is the bypass hose. It allows coolant from the overflow to return to the radiator as it cools.
The radiator hoses are held in place with a clamp. The clamp goes around the hose and can be tighten with a screwdriver. Loosen the clamp on each end of the radiator hose to remove the hose.
If the reservoir has a hose that travels to the top of the radiator, then it is filled with engine coolant. If the hose is not connected to the radiator, then it is most likely a windshield washer bottle.
No. The top hose goes to the engine. The bottom hose feeds from the engine to the heater core back to the radiator.
The inlet to the radiator. Hot water from the engine goes in to be cooled.
goes from the top of the radiator to the engine block, joins usually at the thermostat
follow your top radiator hose from the radiator back down to the block. should be on left side of engine (as you are facing it) where top radiator hose goes into the block.
The thermostat is on the intake where the hose comes from the radiator to the engine. Look at the top of the radiator and follow the hose that goes from the radiator to the engine. the hose fits on a fitting on the intake of the engine. If you remove that fitting, there's a thermostat inside.
follow the upper radiator hose where it goes into the top of the motor and it will be right there.
