could be a few things. there is a sensor that threads into thefront pumpkin with a plug and 2 wires coming out of it, this sensor could be bad. or the splines on the front drive shafts could be worn out. or a relay switch or fuse could be blown between the 4WD button/lever and the sensor i mentioned earlier. these would be the most common.
I checked all fuses. They are ok. When you switch from 2WD to 4WD you can not hear the any thing from the TK.
