Use a pair of circlip pliers to open the circlip and then pull on the CV joint to remove it from the driveshaft and then pull the gaitor off...... To put the CV joint back on open the circlip again and then gently tap the CV joint on until the circlip locates itself on the groove on the driveshaft.
