Could be the connector of your fan blower(vacuum) which is located beneath the glove compartment box. Or may be the blower is bad.
The compressor clutch could be for a number of reasons. It could be a defective compressor clutch, it could be a bad low pressure sensor, it could be low refrigerant, it could be a frayed wire on the low pressure sensor. Your fan, assuming you're talking about the blower motor, bad blower motor, bad blower motor resistor, bad relay(s)... those are your culprits.
Could be a number of reasons. It's pretty much impossible to narrow it down without knowing what the actual symptoms are. When you say your AC doesn't start, you could mean the blower fan isn't kicking on, you could mean your AC compressor isn't kicking on.... the question's much too vague.
It could be several reasons. First, the freon level may be low. I would have the freon pressure checked first, or you can do yourself. Second, you could have a bad compressor sensor. Third, the compressor itself could be bad or you could have bad expansion valve. All could cause short cycling.
Find out the reason the compressor isn't engaging, of course! It could be a problem with the clutch, a problem with the low pressure switch, a low refrigerant level (likely caused by a leak in the system which needs to be repaired), or the compressor itself could be defective. Without any sort of diagnosis, we have no way of narrowing down the causes. You won't get cold air without the compressor, so that has to be dealt with.
Quick answer: Gas cap or 02 sensor Or, it could be anything. When mine came on (04 Liberty Sport) I bought a scan tool at Sears. Turns out it was an O2 sensor.
First check your fuse for your AC in your fuse box, make sure it is good. Make sure your cooling fan is turning on when you turn on your AC, if not it could be your fan relay. If the AC compressor fan clutch is kicking on and off then it just needs freon. If the AC compressor fan clutch is not turning then it could be completely out of freon due to a leak, or you need a new AC compressor.
The flashing light indicates a problem with the AC system. It could be a tiny coolant leak causing low (or no) pressure which you might notice as a lack of cold air from the vents. It could also be a slipping drive belt. There's a sensor on the compressor that senses when the engine is turning faster than the compressor (more properly, the speed 'ratio' isn't correct) so the light is warning of a loose belt. It could also be a bad compressor clutch or even a seized compressor (which you'd definitely hear). Unfortunately it could also be a dirty or bad sensor so you have several things to check out. Cheers
If the AC compressor is engaging it could be the heater control valve is stuck open. If the AC compressor is NOT engaging you probably have a problem with the controls, a sensor or the compressor.
The A/C light blinks because the A/C computer is not "seeing" the compressor shaft turning. Probably a relay fault but could be a bad mag clutch, broken wire, siezed compressor, faulty compressor speed sensor,,,the list goes on and on.
Could be the crank sensor, pass. side down by the air cond. compressor or the cam sensor, drivers side behind the power steering res.
If they cut a sensor wire, the trans could be stuck in 2nd.
It can be many things. Check to see it the compressor clutch is plugged in or the connections are corroded or loose. If this is ok, then take it to a professional. Check your relays dun dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuunnnn... these badboys don't kick on if they don't have enough charge its true.. check that....
