The Yellow wire coming out of the vehicle speed sensor is number 64 on the PCM and is listed as VSS Hi(signal). The Purple wire coming out of the vehicle speed sensor is number 65 on the PCM and is listed as VSS Lo(ground). If the Transmission Speed Sensor is bad you should set a diagnostic trouble code and the speedometer will not work.
