I googled "04 Dodge Ram Manual" and downloaded the service manual from one of the links, which is different than the owners manual. The service manual is 2000+ pages long....here's what is says about the overhead console removal procedure....REMOVAL OVERHEAD CONSOLE REMOVAL (1) Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. (2) Remove the overhead console retaining screws, located in the sunglass storage bin. (3) Using your fingertips, grasp the sides of the overhead console and pull straight down evenly to disengage the two snap clips at the front of the unit. (4) Lower the overhead console far enough to access the wire harness connectors. (5) Disconnect the EVIC, CMTC electronic module and the reading/courtesy lamps electrical connectors. (6) Remove the overhead console from the vehicle. INSTALLATION (1) Position the overhead console in the vehicle. (2) Connect the EVIC, CMTC electronic module and the reading/courtesy lamps electrical connectors. (3) Grasp the sides of the overhead console and push straight up evenly to engage the two snap clips at the rear of the unit. (4) Install the overhead console retaining screw, located in the front of console. Torque the screw to 1.2 N·m (10 in. lbs.). (5) Connect the negative battery cable. I have 2003 Dodge Dakota Club Cab with overhead console, and need to remove the headliner to have it redone. What is the procedure for removal? Thanks Mick
Take overhead console apart and look inside for any thing loss. It maybe as simple as a clip.
The 2003 Dodge Durango has single overhead cam (SOHC).
The 2003 Dodge Grand-Caravan has overhead valves (OHV).
I believe the switches are in the overhead console
What info. exactly do you need / or looking for ? Also what engine size and model ?

With your ignition key in the ON or ACCESORY position press the SELECT button in your overhead console

Need a little more info on what your trying to replace. Is it the switch in the dash? It's in the overhead console.
