2003 ford ranger air bag code 28?

I can't answer about the trouble code, but for the air bag dash lite on my 2001, I have found that vigorously wiggling the wiring harness and connectors under the seats will make the light go away. There is a key operated switch under the dash to turn on and off the passenger seat air bag in case a baby basket is being used. This switch is also useful in determining which seat is causing the light to light up. Try this before paying $$$ to replace the whole system. Jeff F.
