2004 Dodge Dakota blower not working?

If the blower doesn't work on any speed the fuse may be blown. There should be a small pop out panel covering the fuse box on the left side of the dash between the door and the dash (only accessible with the door open). The appropriate fuse should be marked on either the cover or on the fuse box itself. If the blower only works on one speed, then the most likely cause is a faulty blower motor resistor (very common). A new one from Dodge dealer usually costs about $20. Very easy to fix yourself. From the passenger side, under the dash, below and slightly left of the glovebox, look for a set of 5 wires going to a small connection (about 1" by 2.5") held in place by 2 small screws or bolts. Disconnect the wire harness and remove the two fasteners, pull out the resistor and replace with the new one. Reinstall the fasteners and the wire harness and test the blower on all speeds. Done. Before purchasing the new blower motor resistor, it may be worthwhile to remove the old resistor as described above. Very often, but not always, a faulty resistor will be very obviously scorched.
