Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but join the club. The 3.7L motor is crap once it starts failing in the slightest little bit. P2317 is an indication of the Ignition Coil on Cylinder #6 not functioning. Probably getting a P0306 too, aren't ya? And soon to start a P2098 for being Too Lean on the Bank 2 Post Cat. sensor...
I've got a 2004 Limited, & I have spent $3000+ on getting this engine rebuilt. It's sinking good money after bad. Besides the physical problems, I know so many of this model & year that have intermittent electrical ghosts that can't be traced.
If your problem hasn't escalated past the P2317 yet, replace the coil for about $30 and see if that helps.
Good Luck...
