If you have power seats in the Lincoln Navigator, and they won't move forward or backward, it could be that the switch is worn out and needs to be replaced. Also, there is a chance that a switch wire came off or is loose.
The 2000 Lincoln Navigator most likely suffers from the same intermittent odometer problem that has plagued many Ford vehicles (1999 - 2003 F150, F250, F350, Expedition, and Explorer). Lincoln Navigators have also been suspected of having the same problem. It would be helpful if a Navigator owner could confirm that the same problem does exist in the Navigator. iSee the following site for a discussion of the intermittent odometer problem. http://www.odometer-repair.com . I'm another owner confirming same problem. I have a 2001 Lincoln Navigator with same problem.
A problem has been detected with the air suspension system Take it in for servicing
On a 2003 Lincoln Navigator : A problem has been detected with the Anti-lock Brake System It could be a fuse , a sensor , or some other problem As long as the red " BRAKE " light is not on in your dash , you still have " normal " brakes
Bring to a shop that has an ABS scanner to determine the problem
I am having the same problem, and would also like to find out.
Check the fuse/circuit breaker. If they check okay you may have a mechanical problem.
we had this problem. The dealer cleaned them and greased them and they have been working ever since
The most common reason for a misfire is the ignition coil that is connected to the sparkplug on top of the problem cylinder.
The light is on because there is a problem with the abs system. Until the problem is fixed the light will remain on. Once the problem is fixed the light will reset itself afer a short drive.
If you mean stalling in Drive when stopped at Traffic lights. I had the same problem with my 2000 Lincoln Navigator. It was a clogged transmission filter. I changed the transmission filter & oil. The problem disappeared immediately. 24,000 miles later all is still good.
on my 2000 town car it was the idle air control valve sounds like you have the same problem
Auto Zone will check your engine codes for FREE. After finding out what cause your engine light to come on. Then the problem can be resolve with out guessing.
