change the light bulb,
The bulb that is not illuminating, is installed incorrectly. Take it out, and replace it with a new one, making sure the nubs on the socket are in the right slots.
i have a 72 nova and the left turn signal blinks faster than the right what is my problem
you have to replace the parking light bold because is the same as the brake light so just replace the light bold I think is the middle one between turning light and backing light. you have to replace the parking light bold because is the same as the brake light so just replace the light bold I think is the middle one between turning light and backing light.
it is either bad signal flasher or bad signal switch assembly try another flasher, swap the hazards one in place of the signals one if the hazards work right now if the hazrds dont work either then it is most likely worn switch assembly(common problem in these cars) i am working on a corsica right now that has no brake lights except the third one and it is the switch assembly worn out in it, flashers are good in it
The brake light switch would be located under the dash right above the brake pedal. It could be mounted to the pedal arm itself, or attached to the dash. You would unplug the switch, and using just a continuity meter, stick the probes inside each connector of the switch, and press down on the brake pedal. If the meter buzzes, or shows 0 ohms then the switch is good.
If only the right rear brake/signal light is effected it is not the fuse. Inspect the right rear brake/signal bulb, socket and wiring.
More than likely you have a burnt out bulb at the front signal light, rear signal light, or brake light on the right side.
The left brake light works the right brake light doesn't and the bulbs is good
r=open lift gate, remove 2 screws, gently pull out lens assembly, replace top bulb with #1157
i have conected the black and red wire to the brake and it works (the brake light that is) and i conected the blue and white to the signal lights each wire being left and right signal and it all works. but when i brake all of the light lights up the red bar for the brake and the orage bars left and right when i signal left or right whiles braking the signal works but the other signal light sticks on with the brake light. so if any one as any idears please let me know thanks
Turn Signal Light Doesn't Work, but the Brake Light DoesMost vehicles use a single lamp [bulb] for the tail light, brake light, and turn signal functions. That lamp usually has two filaments: one serves both the tail light and brake light functions while the second filament serves the turn signal function. You description of the issue sounds like the turn signal filament is burned out, while the other filament is not.Another, but less probable cause could be that the conductor [wire] supplying electrical power to the right turn signal filament has either been cut, or corrosion has built up within one of the wiring harness connectors somewhere in that circuit. Corrosion acts to cut off the flow of electricity.
Have you checked the fuses or bulbs?
b/c your brak light is blown..and all the rest will work but that one.that or you have a fusa that is not working one of the 2
Vehicle side, Brown, running lights Yellow, left signal/brake light Green, right signal/brake light Black, ground Trailer side, white is ground
Question: Does the turn signal blink on the right rear? I suspect not. Both the brake light and the turn signal use the same filament. If one is burnt out, the other will not work either. If so, the bulb needs replacing.
1976 Chevrolet El Camino turn signal / brake light bulb lamp replacement: Purchase the correct replacement turn signal / brake light bulb(s) first, before disassembling the vehicle. See sources and related links below for replacement turn signal / brake light bulb information. Then consult your owner's manual for the replacement procedure. As simple as it sounds, the owner's manual is the best place to start for turn signal / brake light bulb lamp replacement instructions and illustrations. You may want to consider replacing both left and right at the same time in order to keep brightness and color equal (optional).
Hmmm, kind of unusual because the same bulb filament serves BOTH the blinker and the brake function. It could be a short in the wire from the brake switch leading back to that particular bulb and if the left brake light work okay it would have to be somewhere AFTER the wires leading to the rear lights branch off from one another. Are you CERTAIN that the right rear signal blinker DOES work?
