You need electrical contact cleaner in a spray can. Flathead screwdriver and a Torx 15.
Locate the sensor on the drivers side just behind the air filter. There are 2 wire going into it.
Use the flathead screw driver and slide the red retainer clip straight back toward the drivers side fender. This is a clip to lock the plug connector in place. With the retainer clip slide back, use the flat head to gently pry the connector off the sensor. Then use the 15 Torx and remove the 2 screws . Slide out the sensor. Do not touch it !!! Spray the cleaner into the sensor and lit it dry. Reverse the instructions to re-install
www.motorcraft.com doesn't list an air mass sensor ( MAF ) on the F150 until the 1994 model year
Its located near your air filter box
www.motorcraft.com does not list a MAP sensor for the 4.2 L V6 , 4.6 L or 5.4 L V8 engines for a 2003 F150 , they list an air mass sensor which I assume is the MAF sensor
It does not have a maf sensor.
check the maf sensor
First item to check is the MAF sensor. Buy cleaner from NAPA like CRC MAF cleaner. Follow the directions to clean the sensor.
It does not have a maf sensor.
Clean the MAF sensor with CRC MAF cleaner, do not touch the sensor wires, you'll damage the unit and freah is ~ $175.00
Clean the MAF sensor with CRC MAF cleaner.
there is no MAP, it has a MAF sensor ( mass air flow ) its in the big round plastic tube behind the air cleaner
Check all your grounds
The IAT sensor is located is an intergral part of the the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor
