This was my solution to my 2006 Nissan Altima being stuck in park.... On the gear panel above the "P". Pop the cap off to reveal a cylinod. If you press down on the cylinoid, it will release the gear out of park. What can cause this is liquid being spilled or sprayed accidentally into that area and causing the cylinoid to stick. It will need to be cleaned or replaced, but at least you can get it to drive to wherever you need to go instead of it having to be towed.
why is my 2006 Nissan altima gear shift stuck in park

check your brake light fuse
The most common cause of the shifter to be stuck in park is a broken spring retainer in the shifter assembly. The only fuse that could cause that would be the brake lights fuse. If you have brake lights, it is not a fuse problem.

If you cannot move the shifter out of the park position then you have a problem with the shifter cable or the brake safety lock. If you can move the shifter to the drive position, and it doesnt go in gear then you are a few quarts low on transmission fluid

Make sure the shifter is all the way in park, if it is not in park, the key will not come out. You might want to wiggle the shifter to make sure it is all the way in park.
