Because that is the way the vehicle was designed
If you follow the instructions that come with the replacement it's not that hard.
ECU has detecte a problem with the emissions system. Can be a number of things. Have the ECU scanned to retrieve the code that has been set. This code will tell you what part is being effected not necessarily the defective part.

The 2007 Chevy Equinox comes with a range of features as standard, such as remote power door locks. Similarly, it also comes with cruise control and a rear defogger.
Unfortunately, your passcode security is causing your ignition to read to many amps. This will soon disable your ignition. It will come up as a body ground wire problem when the dealer scans it, I went through this 3 times, yes 3 ignitions. Install a remote starter, this will bypass the passcode security issue.
The 2001 Chevy Blazer does have an ignition security system that is controlled by the computer in the vehicle. The light might come on because of an error that is coming up in the computer due to a key problem or an ignition problem. This is a common issue with the 2000 and 2001 Blazer.
Probably a faulty ignition switch. learn more at www.trailvoy.com Trailblazer enthusiasts website.
when did Chevy vortec come out
Well sometimes the radio is hooked up to the ignition itself. It is just the ignition wire, if it has a disconnecting face plate then you can turn it off by taking the face plate off. Or if you would like, you can pull the radio out and disconnect the wire from the ignition and it will not still be on when you cut the truck off.
Yes, infact I own a 1991 Camaro RS V8 5.0. I purchased it in 2007.
