Sooner rather than later, but that is just an educated guess, it may be another 2 weeks, you will just have to be patient, babies come when they are ready. With my first, at 7am I had a long firm cervix and his head was only 2/5 engaged, and I had him at 1.55pm. Admittedly with induction, but it took both midwives and doctors by surprise.

What does it mean to have a soft cervix at 21 weeks?

Your cervix can change daily when pregnant or not. It can even change height and position if you are constipated or just relieved yourself. If concerned while pregnant speak with your doc, other than that you can learn your cervical pattern but charting and checking daily at the same time and same position. A cervical check can not tell if your pregnant by touch alone.AnswerHi, I am not an expert, but i have been pregnant four times and given birth to five healthy baby boys!! How do your cervix's feel when your pregnant?

Take the tip of your finger and press the tip of your nose. This is how a non-pregnant cervix generally feels. Now take the tip of your finger and press the fullest point of your bottom lip. A pregnant cervix generally feels "soft and mushy." You cannot feel it from the outside.

What if your cervix is up and hard and open?

If you are not pregnant, and not on your period, then it probably means you are ovulating. The cervix opens up when you are ovulating, and it becomes 'slimier' to help aid the travel of the sperm. If you are pregnant, then it just means your are pregnant. If you are not pregnant, and not ovulating, then it means you are about to have your period.

What does it mean to be dilating during pregnancy?

Your cervix get soft when your period is coming However your period has not come and your cervix is still soft Could you be pregnant?

If you are pregnant your cervix will swell and get firmer to the touch. This is due to the entrance being sealed so it now starts collecting fluids inside.
