I have answered this one for different models .Get under it ;with a friend moving the 4wd shifter look at the linkage and the lever on the case .If the linkages slip in and out and the lever doesn't move on the t case then the set screw needs to be tightened or replaced.Now if everything moves then check that your uni joints are in good working order and then the only other thing ;something in your t case went.In that case if you don't know the inside workings don't mess with it .Good Luck!
