Only the fastback had the optional 4 wheel steering. Look under the rear of the car. If you have 4 wheel steering, you will readily see the steering system.
It can either be 10 and 2 or 8 and 4. Think as your steering wheel is a clock.
ok you have to check on your steering wheel in back of you steering wheel there will be a 2 or 4 bolts you gonna have to remove ,as soon your remove you steering wheel airbag you should see 2 wires one goes to airbag on other will be connected to you steering wheel switches ,,you should remove that and after that you gonna see one bolt you should remove it and you can after that you should be able to pull you steering wheel
check the power steering rack or the steering pump

To remove the steering wheel in a 1988 Chevy Celebrity standard version: !. Remove the screws that hold the horn pad in place then remove it. Unplug the wire at the connector. 2, If it still has the safety clip remove it. 3, Use the appropriate wrench to remove the nut from the steering shaft. 4. Use a steering wheel puller to loosen then remove the steering wheel. Reverse the instructions to replace the steering wheel. Steering wheel retainer nut should be 30 ft. lbs. torque.
