Never assume anything, start over and verify everything you've done.
Check the compression, make sure the head is seated properly. Check the plug wires. Verify that everything else is connected.

Have you checked for a computer code? That vehicle should have either a crankshaft position sensor or a camshaft position sensor. Make sure it is working properly.
