Check the timing for the 90 Corsica. the most likely cause for the engine not starting is it has jumped time causing the engine to fire at the wrong time.
Sounds like you have a bad misfire and are running on less than all cylinders. Check that all cylinders are getting a good spark if petrol.
I would definitely change the gas and probably the oil first. Check for spark and fuel getting to the cylinders.
Check for fuel delivery and spark
Check for fuel and spark to the cylinders
first check each spark plug to see if your getting spark if there is no spark check the plug wires for any breaks in the wires also the distributor cap and rotor for wear or corrosion. also check the coil. if engine does have spark check to see if the engine is getting fuel if the engine is not getting fuel check the fuel pump. also check cylinders for compression.
If getting fuel and spark, then need compression and air.
Does it turn over? Getting fuel? Getting spark?
If you are getting fuel and it will not start you have no spark.
see if your spark plug are wet, change oil, with new filter.
there are 2 main reasons 1 the engine is not getting enought petrol 2 spark engine is not getting spark this is probley the cause the main thing that goes wrog with the spark is the ht coil replace this and the spark plug and your engine should start
Some of the most complex problems have basic solutions. As a tech at Honda i ususally use the principle of 1. Check Spark 2. Is it getting fuel? 3. Do all the cylinders have compression? You can fix just about anything using this. The very most common no start is spark, usually a bad igniter or wires
