take old one off, put new one on =) your welcome
To remove the alternator on 1988 Honda CRX the negative battery must first be disconnected. The belt needs to be loosen and the mounting bolts need to be removed as well. When unmounted the alternator will slide off, and a new unit can be replaced.
No you will damage your transaxle, best to tow with front wheels off the dround, like with a tow dolley.
no since you alreadt have fuel filter off you should go ahead and replace with a new one
In my crx a mount gets in the way of a long bolt that needs to come off but if you can get at it and take it off then it can be taken out form the top of the enigne yes.
Try perhaps a trusty Honda manual for sizes then to a dealership to purchase them, this would probably be your best bet.
its in the front by the hoses, its in the left hand of the engine (top of the radiater to the engine theres three bolts, take hose off then you can see it, u have to put the termostate in the right way or your crx wont run right
This might mean your roof is not secured in the boot properly. Make sure Its latched in securely.
No Transmissions are usually car specific. You cant take a longer trans, and throw it on a smaller car... It would depend on what motor you have on the crx and what motor the prelude tranny came off from. I believe the 5 speed manual transmission on the prelude will mate up to both the 1.8L and 2.0L Prelude engine. So if your crx has either of those engines then you should be good to go.
take off the center cap on your wheel and there will be a 32mm bolt(you may need to go out and purchase a 32mm socket as most tool kits do not come with one). remove the bolt and jack the car up. the axel then slides rite out if you play with it.
Check the stop light switch for alignment or perhaps defect
take the rear plastic piece off inside the car, remove all the bolts, pull the assembly out, and unhook the wires. really easy
