u cant.... too old.!
The best place to find a diagram of timing chain and gear alignment would be at a Mercedes dealer. Dealers keep many manuals and periodicals listing all the thousands of parts of their vehicles.
Underneath the wiper motor assy.
starts and runs for a minute and stops running
On my 1988 its located between the brake reservoir, and the hood hinge on the drivers side.
Under the hood, in front of drivers side windshield, next to brake vacuum booster (for the main fuse panel)
The best place to find the fuse box list is in the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Owner's Bible (BentleyPublishers.com). You can also purchase a copy at www.autohausaz.com. If you are trying to install a new stereo, take it to a MB shop and have them do it, it is $40 WELL spent!
On my 1983 Mercedes 380 SEC I had a similar problem. I removed the Idle Control Valve, soaked it in propanol to clean out the carbon buildup. Then sprayed thoroughly with penetrating oil & reinstalled. Problem solved! Or a new ICV can be purchased for >$200, I would try cleaning it first
well in my Mercedes Benz 300TE, which is a station wagon type, the cap is in the back right medical kit under the right hand panel that when you take it off theres a red knob thing that when you press down on it, it keeps the tank lid closed so no one can siphon gas from your tank. hope this helped.
This may help, from another forum: My 300TE has started to lose power steering fluid. The reservoir drains over about a month, you can see the fluid on the base of the steering box :( . Is there a seal I can replace easily, or am I up for a lot of
This same exact thing was happening to me, on my 1988 300TE wagon. I replaced the ignition coil, and it never ever ever happened again. I would start with this. Maybe, before you spend $90 or so on a new ignition coil, see if you can find one in a junkyard, or out of a wrecked/parts car. I'm a cheap guy, and always try to avoid paying full price for something I can rustle up for a little less. Good luck to you! Eric.
My 1985 300TD wagon rear seats are lowered by lifting a lever that is visible when you open the side doors and look at the bottom sides of the seats. Lift the lever and you can lift the seat up from the rear by pulling up from the crack where bottom and back join. There is another lever for lowering the back part along the side where the seat belt hangs down.
