It sounds like what mine did and mine was a bad coil but on a 3.2L there are 3 coils. I payed $100.00 for them to tell me this. but to find out for sure I would take it to a auto repair shop and ask them to do a diagnostic test for you.

That engine does not have a cam sensor. It still has a distributor. If the engine is not firing then I would replace the ignition module that's in the distributor under the cap.

if you mean that the distributor is not firing right, then there is a sensor on the back of your distributor (depending on your car year, but most likely) if you mean the timing is off, then the knock sensor i guess
