You need to get your starter and solenoid checked.
For the 3.0L engine, the solenoid is located under the hood, on the drivers side, and the starter is located on the rear of the engine, also on the drivers side.
Also, there is an apparent corrosion problem with the starter wiring harness connectors, and a replacement starter should include new connectors, with a short section of wire, to replace your current connectors. If you have the 3.0L, rear wheel drive only, version of this vehicle, changing the starter is one of the easier tasks to do.
the alarm system for the radio is draining the batteries remove the radio fuse when you parl
Because on the 206 the radio is always able to get battery power supply voltage.
I turned off h radio and engine. Turned the engine back on and it was gone,
open and prop up hood then disengage battery cables from battery! Done! next?
yes, silly google it!
Could it be the 6 year old battery itself?
check fuses
do not cut the wires. buy plug .
your alternator is bad even if you charge your battery it could still die because the battery is being wasted while you drive
You could accidentally short out the power wire to the radio and blow a fuse. But you really do not have to disconnect the battery terminal. Just remove the fuse for the radio circuit and you will be fine.
You can find battery holders at Radio Shack! :)
