If the car restarts after 15 - 20 min then most likely it's the fuel pump. If not it's the computer or crank shaft sensor. When the fuel pump starts to go you may hear a high freq noise from the rear.
I HAVE A 93 CENTURY AND IT COST ME A FORTUNE BEFORE I FOUND OUT WHAT
THE FAIRLY SIMPLE PROBLEM WAS . AS I DROVE THE CAR WOULD JUST SHUT OFF
AS IF SOMEONE SHUT OFF THE IGNITION . SOMETIMES IT WOULD START IN A
FEW MINS. , TAKE A JUMP , OR EVEN GO DAYS WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO START IT .
AFTER A GREAT DEAL OF RESEARCH , I DISCOVERED THAT IN THE 92 AND 93 CENTURY
THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR . Buick IS AWARE
OF IT BUT NEVER RECALLED IT FOR THAT PROBLEM .
WHEN YOU START YOUR CAR , OR ARE DRIVING IT , THAT CRANKSHAFT POSITION
SENSOR IS TELLING YOUR PLUGS WHICH ORDER TO FIRE IN . IF IT DOESN'T GET
THE RIGHT SIGNAL TELLING IT WHAT TO DO THEN IT SHUTS DOWN .
IT IS ABOUT A $35 PART . I HAVE HAD TO HAVE MINE REPLACED TWICE IN 7 YRS .
I HAD IT MISDIAGNOSED AS A BAD BATTERY , BAD ALTERNATOR , BAD FUEL PUMP ,
BUT AFTER SPENDING ALL THIS MONEY FOR THE MISDIAGNOSIS OF THE PROBLEM
IT WASN'T UNTIL I DID MY OWN RESEARCH THAT I FOUND THE ACTUAL PROBLEM
MYSELF . A DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE WON'T FIND IT , BECAUSE IT'S INTERMITTENT .
SPECIAL NOTE SO YOU DON'T GO NUTS LIKE I DID . ON A 92 CENTURY A SPECIAL
TOOL TO ADJUST THE SENSOR ONCE REPLACED IS REQUIRED . ON THE 93 CENTURY
IT IS SELF ADJUSTING ONCE INSTALLED . I ALSO RECOMMEND VERY HIGHLY
YOU INVEST IN A HAYNES MANUAL FOR THIS YEAR AND MODEL OF CAR . I GOT
ONE ON EBAY , BRAND NEW FOR LESS THAN $5 . IT WILL SHOW YOU EVERYTHING ABOUT THE CAR , AND INSTRUCT HOW TO REPLACE SENSOR .
THE PROCESS OF CHANGING IT ISN'T ALL THAT DIFFICULT , THE HARDEST PART
ABOUT IT IS GETTING TO IT . BUT EVEN THAT ISN'T THAT BAD ONCE YOU KNOW
WHERE IT IS ON YOUR CAR ( PASSENGER SIDE , BEHIND WHEEL , AND PULLEY)
I WISH I COULD HEAR BACK FROM YOU TO FIND OUT THAT I HELPED SAVE YOU
LOTS OF MONEY , TIME AND HEADACHES . NOT TO MENTION THAT IT MIGHT
SAVE YOU FROM HAVING A SERIOUS ACCIDENT WHEN THAT DARN THING CUTS
OFF WHILE YOU'RE DRIVING . MINE BROKE DOWN ON THE BUSIEST STREET IN
TOWN @ 4 PM . AND I HAD I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY CARS ALMOST HIT THE CAR .
I HAD GOTTEN OUT OF THE CAR BECAUSE I KNEW IT WAS IN A VERY DANGEROUS
PLACE AT A DANGEROUS TIME . A CAR CAN BE REPLACED , MY LIFE CAN'T .
BEST OF LUCK TO YOU . I'M NOT A GAMBLER BUT ON THIS I WOULD WAGER
I AM RIGHT , SINCE I'VE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM . A MECHANIC WILL TELL
YOU THAT IT CAN'T BE THIS PROBLEM , THAT THE SENSOR WILL NOT CAUSE
THE CAR TO FAIL TO START , OR CUT OFF ON YOU . I AM SORRY TO ANY
MECHANIC WHO READS THIS , BUT YOU ARE MISTAKEN . I MAY NOT BE A
MECHANIC BUT THIS PROBLEM ALMOST CAUSED ME TO GET RID OF A GREAT
CAR IN EVERY OTHER ASPECT .
There's a different question here with a good answer. (Search for spark plugs on a 93 Buick Century.) Briefly, there are three on the front of the engine (near the cylinders themselves), and three more in back.
There are several reasons that can cause your 1995 Buick Century to quit running. The most common reason is a lack of fuel. A bad fuel pump can cause the engine to quit running.
the tire size for my 93 is 195-75-r14
Swap it with another like relay.
Drop the fuel tank and remove it from the top of the rear part of the tank.
hello how are you?
Buick Century was created in 1936.
What is the COMPRESSion for 1994 buick century

How to take out crank shaft on century 2001 buick century
There is no such thing as a 2005 Buick Century
always look in your owners manual. but I've driven and maintained a 90 91 93 buick century. if 6 cylinder i would suggest 4.4 litres or oil and change the oil filter at every oil change.
