its the ground wire, had same problem, ground it under carpet by panel on passenger side, ur friend has the ground on steal that has a layer of coating preventing it from grounding its the ground wire, had same problem, ground it under carpet by panel on passenger side, ur friend has the ground on steal that has a layer of coating preventing it from grounding
