The 'off' control is very sensitive. If you are brave enough to tackle the problem, I would suggest you remove the radio and clean the contact for the 'on-off' switch. Most electrical contacts are copper based and therefore subject to forming a 'patina' (an oxide or carbonate 'film') when exposed to air (an oxygen atmosphere).
If you do not have the mechanical ability to perform this task, I highly recommend you let someone of whom is profient in mechanical aptitude to do the work. It's not brain surgery, but it does require a certain degree of mechanical aptitude.
You should seek professional help or consult your vehicle's instruction manual before attempting to fix the power window on your Nissan Maxima. Your problem may be due to a power switch problem.
Yes look in your manual it will show you were it is but if your having a problem its more likely a wire than the switch.
Not exactly. But it should have a safety switch that prevents it from being started unless the clutch is depressed.
I have the same problem, going to have a locksmith make sure its the ignition switch and cylinder and just not a key problem or a tumbler problem.
Yes your owners manual should tell you where it is. If you dont have a manual, call a local garage or dealership. I had a ranger at one point and the switch may be under the dashboard.
not manual switch...
Should the auxillary switch be on when in use
You didn't state weather it was an Automatic or Manual transmission. Well any way they are both on the transmission. Manual transmission has a separate switch for the backup lights the automatic is built into the neutral safety switch on the transmission. Automatic switch is about $50.00. Manual switch is about $10.00. Hope you have a manual it is a lot cheaper.
I just took my 97 in to have the switch fixed. Not only was the switch not the problem but is worst now. The overdrive will not shut off and the ford dealer charged me 800 dollars to break the overdrive. Make sure you have a switch problem. I could not find much information in my manual which is why I took it to the dealer who then shafted me.
It sound's like either the servo in the passengers door is bad or one of the manual switches are bad. If the drivers side manual switch will work for the passengers door then it's a switch (could be problem with the switch on either side since most are interconnected). If nothing will make that door work then it's the servo in that door.
Electronic circuit. Not a manual switch
If the fluid is full then you have an electrical, or switch problem. You will need to have a service manual if you are going to diagnose yourself.
