Yes it should be ok for a very short period of time. If you are in the city and the streets are clean with no snow or anything when you should not use four wheel drive. using your four wheel drive on clean city streets will cause excessive wear on the transfer case
and front end. This will lead to premature failure and a huge repair bill. It is not recommended that you run your four wheel drive in 4H unless it is needed. Besides running it in 4H around the city will kill your gas mileage!
