You can just unplug the Daytime Running Light Module, sounds like yours is faulty, and all other functions will work the same, except you will lose the high-beam indicator and the E-brake indicator lamps on your instrument panel, as they work through this module. It is located on the driver side just behind the front bumper, in a void between the front bumper and the front fender well. Headlights should continue working, High and Low.
It is located just below the fuse box that is under the hood on passenger side. Looking from the front end of the car, the battery will be on your left (passenger) side. Behind the battery will be a large fuse box. Directly below the fusebox will be a box with a harness plug into it. Disconnect this plug. The daytime running lights will be off, but the highbeam indicator will no longer function on the dash board. Good luck
Not sure on the disconnect part, but after you start the truck, push your dome light on and off 4 times, you will hear it chime, the daytime running lights will then be out. But you gotta do it each time you start the vehicle....
next to battery on passenger side
You should be able to pull the fuse for the daytime running lights to disable them. Probably located in the fuse panel under the hood. There should be a picture on the inside of the lid which tells you which fuse is which.
in the fuse box under the hood on the right side near the battery
It's a 3x3 box on the inner fender under the hood. Drivers side. Has a quick disconnect plug.
my 05' cavalier has a bad alternator problem its charging the battery a little bit then stops and the little power my battery has is drained by the end of the night. I replaced the alternator twice and the battery but still no difference.
There is a separate fuse for the daytime running lights (DRL). I think there might be a relay also. If the green DRL indicator comes on, but the lights themselves don't, check the fuse and the relay. I think it is in the fuse/relay center by the battery.
attached to the front passenger side, inside the fender. Need to open a battery cover
The daytime running light module is located underneath the battery tray area on a 1992 Ford pick-up. You will need to remove the fender liner and splash shield to access it.
No. The power to illuminate the Daytime Running Lights (DRL's) is supplied by the alternator, and does not have to be supplied by the battery. Once a vehicle is started and the engine is running you could remove the battery from the car entirely and everything requiring current would still operate.
Hey Frank==What are daylights?? Joe If you're referring to the daytime running lights, it's because they're supposed to.
